One of the new features of the iPhone 4 was the fact that the casing was actually the antenna. Previous models had a separate antenna, but the steel casing on the back of the iPhone 4 was going to serve that purpose. But, when some people put their hand over it when making a call, some calls were dropped and connection problems occurred. This was especially common with left handed users, as the antenna was directly affected when people used their left hand to hold the phone.

Now, since this is an all new iPhone, some problems were expected. But, it seems as though this was the only problem people have experienced so far, and they have far overblown it. While Apple is very slow to admit fault, there is no doubt that they will find a way to take care of this issue.

Besides the reported antenna issues, everything else on the new iPhone 4 seems to be working as promised, and they are being sold out almost everywhere they are sold. Availability is a huge issue, and if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one, you will see how great of a phone it really is.

If you are looking for a multimedia phone that has room for games, music, and apps, the iPhone is what you are looking for. It is more of an everyday, consumer phone, whereas the Blackberry is more of a business oriented phone. Sure, the Blackberry can do almost all the same things as the iPhone, but the iPhone just seems to do things a little faster and a little easier.

One exception to this rule is email and typing. If you type a lot on your phone and write a lot of emails, the QWERTY keyboard on the Blackberry may be a real benefit to you. Typing on a touch screen can be a little difficult, and it can talk a lot more time, so if you need fast typing abilities, you need a phone with a traditional QWERTY keyboard, and blackberries offer those.

Both the Apple iPhone and the Blackberry are great phones with great features, and you can’t really go wrong with either of them. You should evaluate your specific needs and see which one fits them best, and buy that one. But, unless you are a heavy typer, it seems that the iPhone once again reigns supreme in this competition.

When it was finally released in the US, it was widespread chaos. People lined up outside Apple stores for days before they were to be released, and hundreds of thousands of people preordered on the Apple website, which caused it to crash for a short period of time. It was obvious that even though Apple got all these orders for their phone, they wouldn’t be able to fill all the orders on the dates they promised.

What’s even worse than this, though, is that outside the US, the iPhone 4 isn’t even readily available everywhere. So, while the US gets to play with their new phones, the rest of the world has to wait until it gets released in their home country, and who knows how long that could be.

When a new, hot product from Apple comes out, there is no doubt there are going to be issues with availability because everyone wants one. But, when you finally do get yours, you will see that is was well worth the wait and you will have a great iPhone to use.

The decision will be based on your feelings and your needs. The iPhone 3g is pretty much still the best phone on the market today, and all its features out shadow every phone except the new iPhone 4, so it’s not a bad buy. But, if you are one of those people who need to have all the latest and greatest gadgets, you will probably be disappointed that it doesn’t have all the new improvements. If you like a new screen, the HD video, and the longer battery life, you should definitely opt for the iPhone 4, as those are the main areas where it is drastically improved over the iPhone 3g.

All in all, the iPhone 3g is still a great phone. It doesn’t have all the features of the new iPhone 4, but if you are a little tight on money or don’t want to wait to get your hands on the iPhone 4, it is still a great buy and will keep you satisfied for quite a long time.

Talk Time
The iPhone is a phone after all, so you want to have adequate talk time. A good way to determine your needs is to look at your past cell phone bills and see how many minutes you actually spent talking on it. More often than not, you don’t spend as much time talking as you think you do, so you don’t want to overspend in this area.

Data is one of the major issues with the iPhone. Almost all the apps it uses and all of its functions require a data connection. Most people use their iPhone more for the apps than anything else, so you will want to make sure you get an adequate data plan.

Choosing a new plan for your new iPhone can be quite a difficult decision. Take the required amount of time, check all your options, and make sure you make the right decision. Choosing the right plan can be the key to getting the most valuable user experience out of your new Apple iPhone.

While the iPhone does have calling capabilities, it really offers so many more features that seem to overshadow that simple function. You can surf the Internet on it, you can use instant messaging programs, you can use it as a navigational device, and you can even play games on it. It even has a camera built in. when you compare all of those features to the fact that it is also a phone, you will see that those things overshadow the calling ability.

But, with the new iPhone 4, Apple has seemed to focus on the communication aspect a little more. They have introduced video calling, so you can call someone on an iPhone and use the built in camera function to have a video chat. What could be better than that? Soon, a normal voice conversation will be almost obsolete.

In the end, with all the features you see that the iPhone has, it is more suitable to call it a multimedia device with calling capabilities than just a phone. But, the overall mobile phone market is moving in that direction anyways. 10 years ago, who would have guessed that we could listen to music, surf the Internet, and use our cell phones as a navigational device? Who knows what the next 10 years will bring.
